Neoprene
There are many types of materials to produce the neoprene foam outfit. Most clothing manufacturers use the same foam call it different. In the last few years, the quality of materials has changed significantly. Foams have become more flexible, warmer, more resistant to damage. To a large extent this is due to the technology used to produce the foam, the frothing and different chemical components. The best materials are used for the construction of a "hidden stitch."
The materials are of different thickness measured in millimeters. The coldest water requires foams with a thickness of 6 mm or 7. Warmer water requires outfit foam with a thickness of 2 mm up to 1 mm. Most of the outfits use a combination of two thick foam. The thicker foam is covering the torso and the thinner is placed around the shoulders and knees.
The most common combinations of thickness are 5/4, 4/3 mm, 3/2 mm.
